Taken from sessions for his much-anticipated debut album, “Nitely” – recorded over three years at North London’s Total Refreshment Centre – Jonny Wildey’s opulent reworking of Rosie Gaines’ Closer Than Close is typical of the London-based songwriter and producer’s inventive and exploratory approach to music.
“I loved that it was coming from a UK jazz house background, which I can connect with. So, I thought it’d be fun to take the jazzy side of it and totally remove the house part and then take it on some kind of psychedelic, David Axelrod-type journey.”

Although “Nitely” will be his first release under his own name, Wildey has been making electronic music under the name Alphabets Heaven for the last decade, releasing a string of acclaimed singles on Nightmares On Wax, Tru Thoughts, Soundway, King Deluxe and WotNot.
